I’m a real person. It’s important to me that you know that. It’s easy to forget that each website, each post and everything you read is designed by someone. But this blog isn’t some random collection of writings that Buzzfeed put together for you. I’ve crafted each one about important topics. So, it’s important to me that you know that I’m a real person who’s working hard to make a difference.

Often authors will try to convey their personality and realness through a unique and quirky bio. But generally, they end up listing things about their life in hopes that readers will connect. They’ll say how they “live in California with their beautiful wife and handsome golden retriever”.
Well, I’ve never been one to follow the status quo in my writing, so why should I in my bio? Besides, I don’t have a dog or a wife. And what’s with most authors living in California or Washington anyways? More than that, no list or bio could explain the quirky person I am. I’m a real person, who writes real things.

I rarely give people all the answers but like to give them something to think on in the few minutes they have to read. When people read my short, punchy and satirical writing on current social and political topics, they’re reminded of Rick Mercer. They see us both as people who stand as a source or satire and seriousness for the world. “Are you going to be the next Rick Mercer?” they may wonder. No, I am not. I am going to be the first Duncan Poulsen. Because I’m a real, unique person who is going to do things my own special way.

  Every Deadly Kiss by Seven James Overview This book is in a prequel series to Steven James’ fantastic Bowers file series. This might be my favorite of his spin offs from his main series. This series felt complete on its own, while still adding depth to his other work. The book explores Agent Patrick Bower's growth as an agent as he develops ideas on criminal intent and hunts down a bioweapon.  What We Can Learn I love how Steven James plays with big topics throughout his stories. Keep your eyes open, it’s fun. Rating Read it.   Every Wicked Man by Steven James Overview Another book in Steven James’ prequel series. This one is a little more mystery than a thriller. Because of James’ writing style, the reader is able to try to figure things out along with the agents. I really enjoyed learning more about the main character’s (Agent Patrick Bowers) story. Productivity is rare. Those who do manage to accomplish impressive tasks appear to be superhuman! Do productive people hold some ancient secret?
